The Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala, has officially announced the results for the Plus One (Class 11) Improvement/Supplementary Examination 2025. Students who appeared for the improvement exams held in March can now access their DHSE First Year Improvement Result 2025 on the official results portal, results.hse.kerala.gov.in, by entering their registration number and date of birth.
According to the official statement, “The results of the First Year Improvement/Supplementary Examination held in March 2025 have been published. The results are available at results.hse.kerala.gov.in.

Official notice for students failing first year despite second year registration

The DHSE has also released a list of students who had already registered for the Class 12 (Second Year) board examinations in March 2025 but failed to qualify in the first year. The board clarified that the registration of these students has been cancelled, making them ineligible to receive the Kerala Plus Two results this year.
“These students must take re-admission to the second year in the upcoming academic year. After completing the First Year by appearing for the First Year Improvement Examination in 2026, they may appear for the Second Year Examination in 2026,” DHSE announced.
This decision reinforces the academic policy that mandates successful completion of the first-year curriculum as a prerequisite for progressing to second-year board exams.
Students can check the list of unqualified candidates here.
