New Delhi: A 20-year-old man who allegedly harassed a woman died by suicide at her house in her absence in northwest Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Saturday.Police received information at the Mahendra Park police station regarding the incident at the residence where the woman and her family live. “He was found hanging from a ceiling fan with a chunni.He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead,” a senior police officer said.The woman’s 52-year-old mother told police that he was troubling her daughter for some time, and a complaint was lodged against him at Jahangirpuri police station, cops said. ” The mother told investigating police officers that both of them were visiting her own mother’s house at the time of the incident. When they returned around 8.15 pm, she found the main door open. Inside, she discovered the man hanging and immediately went to inform his father,” the officer added.The body is preserved at the hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway.
