‘TN’ removed from buses during AIADMK rule: Minister | Chennai News – The Times of India


Chennai: Transport minister S S Sivasankar told the assembly on Thursday that the name ‘Tamil Nadu’ was removed from the body of govt buses during the AIADMK rule.The issue was raised by Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi MLA T Velmurugan, who questioned the reason for removing the name of the state from govt buses. Responding, Sivasankar said the name of the state was removed from govt buses during the previous AIADMK regime. “Even govt schools and govt hospitals do not have the state name,” he said. However, all buses had the names of the respective transport corporations in Tamil, the minister said. TNN
