Tourism Minister R. Rajendran inspected the special camp under the Ungaludan Stalin scheme here on Thursday (September 25, 2025).
The Minister inspected the camp held at a private polytechnic college at Junction main road along with District Collector R. Brindha Devi. Speaking to reporters, the Minister said that in the special camps held from July 15 to September 24, a total of 1.06 lakh petitions were received demanding service from departments.
Seeking monthly assistance under the Kalaignar Maglir Urimai Thogai, over 1.17 lakh petitions were received. During the inspection, name transfers in property tax orders were issued on the spot for four persons and one person received an order for empty land tax, the Minister added.
During the inspection, Mayor A. Ramachandran, Corporation Commissioner M. Elangovan, and officials were present.
