Whitney Purvis, known from MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, is mourning the sudden death of her 16-year-old son, Weston. She announced the devastating news on Facebook, calling Weston her “beautiful son” and describing the tragedy as her “worst nightmare come true.” Weston was born during the original season of the show to Whitney and her then-boyfriend Weston Lewis Gosa. The couple also had a second son, River, in 2014 before splitting. Over the years, Whitney lost custody of both children to Weston Sr. and faced legal trouble for unpaid child support. Weston Sr., too, has a troubled past with multiple arrests, including for driving with a suspended license. In 2012, both parents were arrested together for damaging property during a domestic dispute. The circumstances surrounding Weston Jr.’s sudden death remain unclear.
