Hungary has rejected the European Commission’s proposed €2 trillion EU budget for 2028–2034, calling it a “budget for Ukraine.” Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto and PM Viktor Orban say the draft diverts key funds away from Central Europe’s needs—like farm subsidies and cohesion policies—towards Ukraine.
