The Ministry of External Affairs on Wednesday (May 21, 2025) rejected the allegation by Pakistan that India was invloved in the bus blast in Khuzdar district of Balochistan.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal called the allegation “baseless” while condoling loss of the lives in the incident.
“India rejects the baseless allegations made by Pakistan regarding Indian involvement with the incident in Khuzdar earlier today. India condoles the loss of lives in all such incidents,” Mr. Jaiswal said in a statement.
“However, in order to divert attention from its reputation as the global epicentre of terrorism and to hide its own gross failings, it has become second nature for Pakistan to blame India for all its internal issues. This attempt to hoodwink the world is doomed to fail,” the statement further read.
At least five people, including three children, were killed and several others injured in an attack on a bus in Pakistan’s Balochistan Province on Wednesday (May 21, 2025).
The incident occurred in Khuzdar district in the Province when a bus carrying school children was targeted, the Pakistan Army said in a statement.
According a report by Dawn newspaper, Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Yasir said that 38 people were injured in the blast, which occurred near Zero Point.
According to the Associated Press, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences and also blamed India, without providing any evidence to support the claim.
Later, AP said, Mr. Sharif’s office said he was travelling to Quetta, Balochistan’s capital, along with Army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir to visit the wounded and to be briefed on the investigation.
