Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla Shares Breathtaking Timelapse Video Of ‘Bharat From Space’

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla shared a mesmerizing timelapse video of India taken from the International Space Station (ISS). The video captures the ISS’s journey from south to north, following India’s east coast, showcasing the majestic Himalayas and lightning from thunderstorms across the country. Due to the monsoon season, much of India was covered in clouds, so Shukla missed a complete view of the country. In sharing the video, he wrote that he hopes viewers feel as though they are sitting in the ISS cupola, the station’s window that provides a unique and immersive view of Earth from space.
