158 students honoured under ‘Shining Stars’ programme

Minister for Home and Vizianagaram District in-charge, Vangalapudi Anitha, emphasised the importance of academic excellence and good behaviour in children in shaping them into responsible citizens for the future. She urged parents to inculcate good habits in children while also encouraging them to perform well academically. The Home Minister was speaking at the ‘Shining Stars’ programme held at the convention centre in Vizianagaram on Monday.

Alongside Collector B. R. Ambedkar, Ms. Anitha presented certificates, medals, and cheques worth ₹20,000 to 158 meritorious students. 93 of these meritorious students were from government schools, and 65 were from private institutions.

Ms. Anitha added that the youth have a bright future, as the government led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is striving to develop the State under the Vision-2047 programme. Later, the minister and collector had lunch with the students and enquired with them about their future academic plans.
