Once upon a now, in the centre of a vast farmyard stood a stately white mansion. Inside, in an oval-shaped room was a large, corpulent individual with startling orange-glo hair, ensconced behind the desk on which was spread an enormous jigsaw puzzle, which was a representation of the farmyard in its totality.

The orange-headed person, whom we can call Carrot Top for the purposes of this fable, was only a temporary tenant of the mansion, but was devising stratagems to become a permanent resident.
