Currently seen in the role of Abhira, actress Samridhii Shukla suffered an unexpected mishap on the sets of the the ongoing show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. On March 7, the actress sustained a slight burn injury while shooting an important cooking sequence.

The incident occurred during a cooking sequence where Abhira is seen preparing kachoris -Armaan’s favorite dish – to mark their first meeting anniversary. As part of the scene, Samridhii Shukla had to deep-fry the kachoris in hot oil. However, during the take, some hot oil accidentally splashed onto her hand, causing a minor burn. Although she quickly stepped back, she still sustained an injury on her forehand. Despite the discomfort, the actress displayed immense professionalism and chose to continue filming without any disruptions. Speaking about the incident, the actress told India Forums, “A bit of hot oil splashed on my hand because I don’t have much experience with deep frying. I think I’m a silver spoon child—my parents never made me do much work. But it’s all safe now.” Fans of the actress can rest assured that she is doing well and has not let the incident affect her dedication to the show.

Meanwhile, speaking about the show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continues to be one of the most popular TV dramas, and Samridhii’s commitment to her role along with her chemistry with Rohit Purohit as Armaan has been receiving much love from audience. Talking about the current track, Armaan and Abhira have left Poddar mansion after the former realized that his grandmother and step-mother lied to him about his birth mother being alive. While they attempt to survive these days in poverty, the show is currently focusing on their tough journey and challenges that lay ahead.

Also starring Garvita Sadhwani, Romiit Raaj, Anita Raj, Shruti Ulfat, Sandeep Rajora, Preeti Puri, Mohit Parmar, among others, the show airs on Star Plus at 9:30 pm every day.

Actor Shehzad Khan recently opened up about his father’s initial reaction after watching him mimic his voice in Aamir Khan and Salman Khan’s ‘Andaz Apna Apna‘. He played the role of Vinod Bhalla in the cult classic, which left a strong impression on the audience.
In a recent conversation with Radio Nasha, Shehzad shared details about the casting process for ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. Director Rajkumar Santoshi had rejected the initial casting of the film, but for the role of Vinod Bhalla, producer Vinay Kumar suggested Shehzad’s name. “When I went there, Raj told me about the role and said that I had to use my father’s voice for the character, and that’s how the journey started,” Shehzad stated.
Actor Ajit was unaware of his son’s involvement in the film until others brought it to his attention. Shehzad recalled, “I never told my father about the film, and some people told him, ‘Your son’s new film has come out. A lot of people are talking about it. He has used your voice.’ Then he saw the film and told me, ‘Ainda aisi himakat mat karna (Don’t ever repeat this).’”
‘Andaz Apna Apna’ has achieved cult status, with fans fondly remembering its unique blend of slapstick humour and quirky characters. Alongside Shehzad Khan, the film features an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor, and Viju Khote.
‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is set to return to select cinemas on April 25, 2025.
