Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy asked the media not to drag his Cabinet colleagues into their personal fight and said that media personnel can approach him directly if there are any allegations against his Cabinet colleagues.
“We are working together as a team, unlike the earlier regime where only one person used to make all the decisions,” he said. He cautioned party workers not to allow the State government to be dragged into conflicts between two media organisations and urged voters not to give another opportunity to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He made these comments at a meeting of party workers in the united Khammam district.
Referring to the controversy raised in a section of the media over Singareni mines contracts, he said his government would give contracts to the eligible only. He made it clear that the State’s interests were paramount than others.

Mr. Revanth Reddy said the day was significant as it marked the death anniversary of former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), and stressed that two leaders who implemented landmark welfare schemes should always be remembered. He recalled that NTR introduced the ₹2-per-kg rice scheme to see happiness in the eyes of the poor. “Today, with the same spirit, we are supplying fine rice free of cost so that everyone can eat to their fill,” he said.
He said Khammam district has people who once worked with or admired NTR and N. Chandrababu Naidu. He urged voters to keep BRS leaders, whom he accused of attempting to politically destroy the TDP, away from power and ensure the destruction of the BRS.
Highlighting Congress contributions, Mr. Revanth Reddy said the credit for free power supply lay with former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. He alleged that the BRS government cheated the poor in the name of double-bedroom houses, and said his government was continuing the Indiramma housing programme launched by YSR.
Mr. Reddy accused ‘vested interests’ of conspiring against the government while it was working for the poor, likening them to mythological demons plotting from a farmhouse.
