Chennai: As parties hold last minute hectic parleys to finalize their alliances, PMK founder S Ramadoss held an urgent meeting with his supporters at his Thailapuram residence in Villupuram district, on Sunday. PMK MLA G K Mani, Ramadoss’ daughter Srikanthi, and a host of his supporters participated. It has been more than 10 days since his son and PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss joined the AIADMK alliance. Ramadoss has been facing pressure from his own supporters as well as political parties to finalize his decision on the alliance. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s visit to TN on Jan 23 when NDA allies are likely to share stage with him, Ramadoss too wants to complete the decision making process faster. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Mani said various parties were in talks with their faction for an alliance and that a decision would be made soon. “Several parties, including newly launched ones, are in talks with us. We have expressed our opinion to Ayya (Ramadoss). He will take the decision,” Mani said. TNN
