Berhampur: In a bid to foster reading habit, critical thinking and awareness of current affairs, Gyana Vikash English Medium School, Berhampur, in collaboration with The Times of India, hosted an inter-house quiz competition on its campus, drawing enthusiastic participation from students.The event kicked off with a written preliminary round that saw nearly 300 students vying for a spot in the next stage, showing their keen interest and preparation. Based on performance, 50 students advanced to the next round. After rigorous evaluation, the contest narrowed down to four teams comprising 16 students for the much-anticipated final. The final, held on Jan 9, witnessed intense excitement, healthy rivalry, and an impressive display of knowledge spanning current affairs, science, history and literature. After a closely fought contest, Team Gyan Ganga clinched the title. The winning team — Anil Kumar Behera, Vaishnavi, Pratik Kumar and Ankita — won accolades for their confidence, teamwork, and clarity of thought.
