Plane Crashes Into Parked Aircraft At Kalispell Airport In Montana; No Casualties Reported

Plane Crashes At Kalispell Airport: A single-engine plane carrying four people attempting to land at the Kalispell City Airport in Montana on Monday collided with a parked aircraft, causing a massive fire but no serious injuries, according to media reports.

The pilot and three passengers on board managed to exit the plane after it came to a stop. Two passengers sustained minor injuries and were treated at the airport.

Kalispell Fire Chief Jay Hagen said, “The plane that was landing caught fire, but the pilot and three passengers were able to exit the aircraft after it came to a stop. Two of the passengers sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment at the scene.”

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the aircraft crash-landed near the end of the runway during landing and collided with an empty plane parked on the ground. The impact sparked a fire that spread to a nearby grassy area before being extinguished.

According to media reports, FAA records show that the plane, a Socata TBM 700 turboprop aircraft built in 2011, was registered to Meter Sky LLC, based in Pullman, Washington.

In February, a Learjet plane owned by Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil slid off the runway in Scottsdale, Arizona and collided with a parked Gulfstream, killing one person. The NTSB said the accident may have been linked to earlier damage to the landing gear, although the exact cause remains under investigation.

US Representative for Montana Ryan Zinke said his staff was on site at the Kalispell crash to assist local authorities and airport officials.

“My staff is on site at the plane crash at the Kalispell City Airport. From what we understand, no one was injured, praise God. We will be assisting local authorities and the airport in any way we can as they handle this unfortunate accident,” Zinke said in a post on X.
