Paps zooming into Khushi Kapoor sitting in living room during grandmother Nirmal Kapoor’s last rites sparks online outrage

The footage, taken inside Anil Kapoor’s Mumbai residence, shows Khushi sitting quietly in the living room while paying her last respects to her grandmother who had passed away that day at 90.

Khushi Kapoor’s grandmother, Nirmal Kapoor, passed away on May 2, 2025, at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Following her demise, the Kapoor family, including Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi, Anshula Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, and Sunita Kapoor, gathered to pay their last respects.

Meanwhile, a controversy arose when a video surfaced online showing Khushi sitting in the living room, while paparazzi gathered outside the residence and captured her in a private space, sparking concerns about their persistence and disregard for privacy during a sensitive moment.

The footage, taken inside Anil Kapoor’s Mumbai residence, shows Khushi sitting quietly in the living room while paying her last respects to her grandmother who had passed away that day at 90. The paparazzi reportedly zoomed their cameras into the home, capturing Khushi without regard for her privacy. The video was shared with the caption, “Khushi Kapoor at the last rites of her grandmother,” drawing widespread criticism for its insensitivity.

Social media users expressed outrage over the paparazzi’s actions. A user criticised, stating, “Why the hell are you zooming her at such a time” Another said,  “Literally zooming into someone’s living room! Isn’t that a breach of privacy?”. One of the users commented, “Leave them alone guys not everything is Paps material”. “Kisi ki privacy ki to izzat kar liya karo dallo, kam se kam aise time me to mat pahucha karo” (“Respect someone’s privacy, at least don’t bother them at such times”), added another user.  Some also questioned the glamorization of film actors, saying “WTF? Any granddaughter would be present at grandmother’s final rites- what’s different? Stop over glamorousing the film actors.”

Several notable Bollywood celebrities paid their respects, including Anupam Kher, Hansal Mehta, Ayan Mukerji, Karan Johar, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Pahwa, Ashoke Pandit, and Fardeen Khan, among others.

Amitabh Bachchan's old tweet about Aishwarya Rai's labor pain goes viral; netizens slam him saying 'No uterus…’

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his family have been in the news due to issues in their family. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are in news due to separation rumours. Aishwarya is hardly seen attending public events with them. Amid this, Amitabh’s old tweet praising Aishwarya’s decision to opt for a normal delivery over a C-section has resurfaced on social media. He appreciated her endurance during labour and his statement has sparked outrage on Reddit. Many users criticized Amitabh Bachchan for sharing personal details publicly and perceiving ‘normal delivery flexing’.

In 2011 Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan became parents to their first child Aaradhya Bachchan. The news went viral on the social media and Amitabh Bachchan was more than happy. Amitabh Bachchan took to X (formerly Twitter), and wrote, “…emphasising the commendable desire of Aishwarya in having a normal delivery without any epidural or pain killers.” After the birth of Aaradhya, he shared another tweet that read, “This was a normal delivery even though these days people opt for C-section and other things. But Aishwarya wanted a normal delivery, she had to struggle but I commend her that she was in acute labour for a long time, almost 2-3 hours. But she persisted, and said she wanted a normal delivery. She did not use any epidural or painkiller.”

Amitabh Bachchan’s tweet has resurfaced on Reddit and netizens are criticizing him for lack of awareness regarding childbirth. One user noted, “Being a celebrity, one should not glorify vaginal birth, particularly in a country like India, as it can create unnecessary pressure on women to choose this option even when it might not be the safest or most appropriate for their individual circumstances and health.” Another said, “Who cares if she gets an epidural? It’s her body and her choice. With or without an epidural, delivering a baby is equally difficult.”

Another user wrote, “No uterus, no opinion.” “As a father-in-law, why is he sharing all these details? What an absolute weirdo,” said another user. One user said, “Ewww, why is he going into so much detail? Creepy af.” Another commented saying, “The obsession another individual, especially a man, has with a woman’s decision on how she wants to deliver her baby is pathetic.”

Sonu Nigam CLARIFIES Pahalgam remark at Bengaluru concert: “Jab pant utari gayi thi, toh bhasha nahin poochhi gayi thi” : Bollywood News – Bollywood Hungama

Renowned playback singer Sonu Nigam has issued a clarification following a controversy at his recent Bengaluru concert, where he faced backlash for comments made in response to a fan’s demand for a Kannada song. The incident, which sparked widespread debate, led to an FIR being filed against the singer for allegedly making provocative statements that hurt the sentiments of the Kannadiga community.

Sonu Nigam CLARIFIES Pahalgam remark at Bengaluru concert: “Jab pant utari gayi thi, toh bhasha nahin poochhi gayi thi”

During the concert on April 25 at East Point College of Engineering and Technology in Bengaluru, a fan repeatedly shouted for a Kannada song, which Nigam perceived as disruptive and rude. In a viral video, the singer paused his performance to address the audience, expressing his love for Kannada culture and his history of singing Kannada songs. However, his reference to the recent Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed 26 civilian lives, stirred controversy. Nigam stated, “Yahi kaaran hai, Pahalgam mein jo hua hai na. Dekho toh kaun saamne khada hai,” implying that such disruptive behavior could have broader consequences. Many interpreted this as equating the fan’s request to terrorism, prompting outrage among Kannada activists and netizens.

On Saturday, May 3, Nigam took to Instagram to share a video clarifying his remarks. He emphasized that his comments were directed at a small group of four or five individuals who were causing a disturbance, not the entire Kannadiga community. “Sirf chaar-panch gunday type the jo wahan pe chilla rahe the. In fact, wahan ke hazaron log unko mana bhi kar rahe the,” he said, noting that thousands of other attendees, including women, were urging the group to stop disrupting the event.

Nigam reiterated his respect for Kannadigas, stating, “Kannadigas are very sweet people,” but stressed the need to address the disruptive behavior. He further clarified his Pahalgam remark, saying, “Unn paachon ko yeh batana aur yaad dilana zarori tha ke Pahalgam mein jab pant utari gayi thi, toh bhasha nahi poochhi gayi thi,” referring to the terror attack where victims were targeted indiscriminately, regardless of language or identity.

The controversy escalated when the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, a pro-Kannada group, lodged a complaint with the Avalahalli Police Station, leading to an FIR under Section 153 for intentional insults intended to provoke a breach of peace. The group argued that Nigam’s statements portrayed Kannadigas as intolerant, contrary to their peace-loving nature, and demanded an apology.
