We had previously reported that Telugu star Naga Chaitanya is teaming up with director Karthik Varma Dandu for his next film, tentatively called NC24. Now, on Saturday (April 26), the makers announced that the film has gone on floors.
Pushpa-director Sukumar, who, apart from writing the screenplay, is also producing the film, unveiled a montage of behind-the-scenes footages to announce the news.
The video takes us through the extensive pre-production that the crew had done for the film. Fascinatingly, we also see Chaitanya overseeing the production design and CGI works.
Details regarding the plot and the rest of the cast of the film are kept under wraps as of now. With music scored by Ajaneesh B Loknath, the film has cinematography by Neil Dcunha and editing by Navin Nooli. Sri Nagendra Tangala serves as the art director.
NC24 is produced by the banners SVCC and Sukumar Writings.

The much-awaited season four of hit legal drama series ‘Criminal Justice’ has finally got a premiere date. Pankaj Tripathi starrer ‘Criminal Justice’ is set to stream exclusively on Jio Hotstar from May 22, 2025.
The makers have released the teaser for the series on Tuesday. The ‘Mirzapur’ actor will be reprising his role of advocate Madhav Mishra, who tends to attract tricky crime cases in court. The series is directed by Rohan Sippy.
This time, the actor will be joined by the cast of Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Mita Vashisht, Asha Negi, Shweta Basu Prasad, Khushboo Atre and Barkha Singh in the series. According to the teaser, the fourth season of ‘Criminal Justice’ appears to involve a torrid love affair and an unforeseen murder, for which actor Zeeshan is on trial.
In a press note shared by the makers, Pankaj Tripathi said that the show feels like a ‘homecoming’ to him. “Criminal Justice feels like homecoming to me. Every time I return as Madhav Mishra, it’s like reuniting with an old friend who still has something new to teach me. There’s an honesty and warmth to him that audiences have held onto through every season. That love is deeply humbling. Madhav isn’t just a character I play–he’s someone I carry with me. And with each chapter, that bond only grows stronger. I’m thrilled to be back and can’t wait for fans to join us once again in the courtroom,” said Pankaj Tripathi as quoted in a press note.
Director Rohan Sippy shared his happiness of working with Pankaj Tripathi again for the series, which is loved by many. “It was an absolute delight to get an opportunity to return to work with Pankaj Tripathi, who has made the courtroom warrior Madhav Mishra such an unforgettable character… and yet again this season brings in a powerful new cast as well, who play off him brilliantly and shape a unique legal dramatic thriller that audiences will really engage with,” said Rohan Sippy as quoted by the press note.
The first season of Criminal Justice starred Vikrant Massey and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. The series is produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios.

Suniel Shetty, Akanksha Sharma, Sooraj Pancholi, director Prince Dhiman and producer Kanubhai Chauhan launched the trailer of their historical action drama, Kesari Veer, at a multiplex in Mumbai. The film marks the return of Sooraj Pancholi, and he got overwhelmed with the love he got for the trailer and also by the words of Suniel Shetty.

Suniel Shetty reminded the audience of the obstacles Sooraj Pancholi faced in his life when he was accused of abetting the suicide of actress Jiah Khan. The court, however, acquitted him of all charges.
Suniel Shetty said, “This kid has put on a lot of hard work. He has gone through a lot in life. Everybody gets another opportunity. Trust me, this is the opportunity that the Almighty has given, that Mahadev has given (to Sooraj). You’ll see this in this film. He’s unbelievably good. For me, it’s like my son Ahan on screen, every time I see Sooraj. That’s the kind of effort he has put in. That’s why I pray for him, and I hope that the film works and creates the magic that we all believe it should.”
Sooraj Pancholi began by saying, “This is a very special film to all of us.” Before he could talk further, he had tears in his eyes, and he went silent. The media also were stunned and a few seconds later, they all cheered for him. Suniel Shetty, meanwhile, comforted him.
The sudden development was a déjà vu for old-timers. 10 years ago, Sooraj Pancholi was launched in Hero (2015) by superstar Salman Khan. This was also the time when Sooraj was going through legal issues. When he came on stage at the trailer launch, Sooraj had got similarly emotional. That time, Salman had comforted him.
During the question-and-answer media session, Sooraj Pancholi was asked about his absence. He replied, “I had to clear many things. Everyone knows about it. There’s no hiding behind it. My mother says that good things take time. And I was waiting for the right film. I don’t think I would have gotten a better film than this to make a comeback.”
Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa took a leap few months ago. Recently, we saw that the story is now focused on Anu and her daughter, Rahi. Anu got her daughter married and a new story started for her. She met Raghav in the central jail. She realised he has been falsely accused in his wife’s murder case. She brought him out and even gave him a job. However, later, it was revealed that he was the one who attacked Rahi. Anu was broken and threw him out of their house. Rahi blamed Anu for this and said that she always trusts others than her own family. Anu was hurt hearing Rahi’s words. In the upcoming episodes of Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, we will see that Kinjal gets arrested for stealing money in her office. During this time, Anu does not support Kinjal and lets her go to the jail. However, it has some connection with Raghav. Hence, the family starts blaming Anu for this. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
The neighbours question her if she wants to marry Raghav now. Anu is hurt by the harsh words used against her by her own kids and family members. It will be interesting to see what is the truth behind these issues.
