Apple TV has released a thunderous new teaser for season two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, unveiling a brand-new Titan as the series prepares to return globally on Friday, February 27, 2026.

The 10-episode second season will debut with a single episode, followed by weekly releases through May 1. The teaser confirms that the Monsterverse series is expanding its scope, introducing a previously unseen creature known as Titan X, described as a massive, ocean-dwelling force capable of threatening even Godzilla and Kong.
Returning cast members include Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett and Anders Holm. The teaser briefly checks in on familiar characters, including Lee Shaw, whose fate was left uncertain at the end of season one, alongside Monarch-linked figures Cate Randa and May Olowe-Hewitt.
Titan X is shown only in fragments, with shadowy silhouettes, bioluminescent textures and underwater movement suggesting a colossal squid-like entity emerging from the depths. Apple TV describes the creature as an ancient force whose arrival could trigger a catastrophic global event. The teaser also confirms that both Godzilla and Kong will appear in the new season, raising expectations for large-scale Titan confrontations.

Season two picks up with Monarch’s future hanging in the balance, as secrets from the past resurface and draw characters to Skull Island and a mysterious coastal settlement tied to the new Titan’s awakening. The narrative promises to further explore Monarch’s role in a world increasingly shaped by monsters.
Produced by Legendary Television, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is executive produced by Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Chris Black, Matt Shakman and others, with Black serving as showrunner for season two. The series is part of Apple TV’s broader partnership with Legendary to expand the Monsterverse through additional spinoffs.
Season one of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is currently streaming on Apple TV.
