The Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, which became operational on Aug 11, 2023, represents a paradigm shift towards trust-based governance. In one bold stroke, 183 provisions across 42 central Acts, administered by 19 mini stries and departments, were decrimina lised.
This wasn’t just another reform; it heralded a new philosophy of governance, dismantling of the colonial legacy, and a decisive move towards genuin e ease of living and doing business.
