Kerala Man Murders Wife, Confesses on Facebook Live
Thiruvananthapuram: In a shocking incident, a man stabbed his wife to death and went live on Facebook to confess before surrendering to the police.
The horrifying act happened in Punalur in Kollam district at around 6.30 am on Monday when Shalini, 39, who had been estranged due to marital disputes, was preparing to leave for the school where she worked as an ayah. Issac followed her and stabbed her multiple times, causing severe injuries to her chest, neck and back. Their younger son, who was with his mother at the time, screamed for help, alerting the residents.
After committing the crime, Issac went live on Facebook and declared, “I have murdered my wife Shalini because she had multiple relationships and loaned gold without my knowledge. I have two sons, the elder one being a 19-year-old cancer patient. She lived at her mother’s house without remorse, destroyed all our property to lead a lavish lifestyle and contributed nothing. Everything, including the house we live in, was built by me, and she doesn’t even own a penny.”
A case was registered against Issac under Section 103(1) (murder) of the BNS. Shalini’s body was moved to the Medical College Hospital for further procedures.
