‘I will move to India’: Broadcaster Narinder Kaur on if Nigel Farage becomes PM; says she’s already looking at property – The Times of India
Indian-origin British broadcaster Narinder Kaur said if Reform UK’s Nigel Farage becomes the Prime Minister of the UK, she will leave the country and go to India. On Channel 5’s The Jeremy Vine Show, Kaur said now what she said is on air that she will leave the UK. “How is Nigel Farage effective when he did Brexit and so poor as a result? How’s he effective?” Kaur said during the debate. “I will go back to India. I’ve already been looking at property there,” Kaur said. “I don’t think he will come into power at all. I think he’ll be finished by another year and I think.. But if he does, if you’re asking that question, I’m looking at propert in India. I will be gone,” Kaur said. Riding on the anti-immigration wave in the UK, the comment triggered a major debate as many social media users said now they would vote for Nigel Farage so that Kaur can be out of the country. “Narinder Kaur says she will move to India if Nigel Farage becomes Prime Minister. Now if that’s not an incentive to VOTE for Reform and Nigel I don’t know what is,” one wrote. “Never was there a more sound reason to vote for Farage,” another wrote.“She’s jut got Farage another million voters,” a third user wrote. “Gloves are off!! We have a challenge! Let’s make this happen, she has to go. It’ll make everyone’s Christmas,” one wrote. Narinder Kaur is a television personality and broadcaster. She gained prominent when she was a housemate on Big Brother UK in its second series in 2001. A YouGov poll revealed that Nigel Farage may become the PM if the elections are held now. Farage’s Reform party could wipe out Labor Party’s 2024 majority if the elections are held now. The YouGov MRP projection suggested that Reform UK would win 311 of the 650 seats in Parliament. While it is 15 seats short of the 326 needed for a majority, this would still position Farage’s party as the dominant force in a hung parliament.
