Bhubaneswar: Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Monday called upon students to embrace entrepreneurship, innovation and technological advancement, urging them to become job creators rather than job seekers.Addressing the third convocation of Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR) here, the governor said, “Startups and entrepreneurship offer powerful pathways for innovation, employment generation and economic growth. Odisha and the rest of the country are nurturing vibrant startup ecosystems through policy support, funding, incubation and mentorship and students should make full use of these opportunities and build something new.“
Highlighting the rapidly changing global landscape, Kambhampati added, “The world is being reshaped by technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, data science, automation, renewable energy, biotechnology and space technology. In such a scenario, the real challenge lies not in change itself but in how effectively one adapts to it.”He urged the graduates to become lifelong learners, remain curious and open-minded and view uncertainty as an opportunity for innovation.He also commended OUTR for its remarkable growth from its origins as the College of Engineering and Technology to its present status as a dynamic technological university. He appreciated the introduction of new programmes in emerging areas such as AI, robotics and electronics.
