From The Hindu, May 15, 1925: Storm in the Bay

Madras, May 14: Enquiries made by the Associated Press of India at 9:30 p.m., with regard to the storm situation in the Bay shows that the Madras Port is threatened with a storm to-night.

The cautionary storm danger signal (No. 6) is now hoisted on the Madras Harbour Mast. All the vessels in the Madras Harbour touching the wharf have been shifted to the moorings and all the boats have been ordered to the Boat Basin.
