Film appreciation camp for students

Filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan on Wednesday inaugurated a film appreciation camp for students, organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, in the capital.

Speaking to the young aspiring filmmakers, he said that it is difficult to make a good film that reflects the realities of life, even though the process of filmmaking has become easier.

Chalachitra Academy Chairperson Premkumar presided over the function held at the Guru Gopinath Natanagramam in Vattiyurkavu. In the afternoon, actor and camp director Rajesh Sharma led the acting training session. Critic K.B. Venu spoke on the topic ‘Introduction to Visual Language’. Fifty students are participating in the three day-long camp.
