New Delhi: A Delhi court recently observed that the abhorrence society as a whole has towards sexual predators targeting children should find reflection in the judgments of the courts.Awarding five years of imprisonment for the sexual assault of a six-year-old child to a 27-year-old man under provisions of the Pocso Act, additional sessions judge Manoj Kumar said that the alarming rise in offences against children and society’s cry for justice for such children led to the formulation of such law.According to the prosecution, the man, who was the neighbour of the child’s family, called her on the pretext of offering her sweets at his home.
