Congress Committed To Welfare Of Farmers: Parkala MLA
WARANGAL: The Congress government is committed to the welfare of farmers, said the Parkala MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy while participating in the ‘Rythu Mungitlo Shastravethha’ (scientists at the farmer’s doorstep) programme held here at Anantharam village in Geesukonda mandal of Hanamkonda district on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he appealed to farmers to adopt modern agricultural methods to increase their productivity and income.
He also advised farmers to implement crop rotation methods by following modern trends in agriculture and using advanced equipment to get higher yields and profits.
“The farmers must go for soil testing. Depending exclusively on fertilisers and manure will damage soil fertility and health. By taking the advice of scientists and the officials of the agriculture department, the farmers will benefit more by cultivating their crops,” he said.
The MLA said that the government is planning to promote organic farming by cultivating various kinds of crops in around 125 acres of land in every mandal across the state.
