Allu Arjun with Aamir Khan at the latter’s residence

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun recently visited Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan at the latter’s residence in Mumbai with a friend, a picture from which has now gone viral. Further, the visit has sparked speculations that the superstars might collaborate on a project soon.

In the picture shared widely on X, Arjun, wearing a white t-shirt and black trousers, can be seen smiling alongside Aamir, who wore a blue kurta an paired it up with a black dhoti.

Ever since the picture dropped, social media has been abuzz with speculations that the meeting might have been regarding a possible collaboration. However, there hasn’t been any official confirmations about the same.

A section of fans speculated if Aamir is a part of Arjun’s upcoming film with director Atlee, while some others tweeted their suspicions on whether the meeting is regarding Arjun joining a film headlined by Aamir.

Allu Arjun, fresh from the success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, is currently preparing for Atlee’s film. The high-profile movie, tentatively titled ‘AA22xA6’, is touted to be a big-budget sci-fi action film high on VFX. Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures is producing the film.

Aamir, on the other hand, has Sitaare Zameen Par set to release on June 20. Earlier this week, Aamir’s production banner Aamir Khan Productions unveiled the first look poster of the film, which is a spiritual sequel to 2007’s Taare Zameen Par. In March, Aamir revealed that he had begun working on his dream project, Mahabharata.

Who was Maharaja Bhupinder Singh? The inspiration behind Diljit Dosanjh’s debut Met Gala look | – The Times of India

Diljit Dosanjh‘s first appearance at the Met Gala 2025 was a global sensation, not only in terms of fashion but for its profound tribute to Sikh royalty and Punjabi culture. The inspiration for this historic turn was Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, a name that is synonymous with luxury, leadership, and cultural pride of early 20th-century India.

Who was Maharaja Bhupinder Singh?

Born in 1891 to the Jat Sikh Phulkian dynasty, Bhupinder Singh was the son of Maharaja Rajinder Singh. He became king of Patiala at a young age of nine, upon the demise of his father. He reigned from 1900 until his last breath in 1938. As Maharaja, he was known for his extraordinary wealth, forward thinking, and sponsorship of sports and the arts. His rule was characterized by attempts at modernization in Patiala, and he became an icon of Indian royalty on the international scene.Maharaja Bhupinder Singh – A patron of sports and the artsMaharaja Bhupinder Singh is most remembered for his role in cricket. At the age of 19, he led India’s inaugural cricket team on its tour of England in 1911, a landmark event in Indian sporting history. He appeared in 27 first-class games between 1915 and 1937, even playing for the elite Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). Although he was to lead India’s first official Test team in 1932, he backed out on the grounds of age and health, but his legacy continued to be foundational. He was instrumental in setting up the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and christened the Ranji Trophy, a premier championship in Indian cricket.

Maharaja Bhupinder Singh’s legendary opulence

Bhupinder Singh’s legacy is also defined by his extravagant lifestyle. He was known for his vast fleet of luxury cars -reportedly owning 44 Rolls-Royces – and for commissioning some of the world’s most famous jewels. Most notably, he commissioned the Patiala Necklace from Cartier in 1928, a 1,000-carat diamond masterpiece considered one of the most expensive and intricate pieces of jewelry ever made. This piece of jewelry became a lasting icon of his magnificence and was the design inspiration for Diljit Dosanjh’s Met Gala look.

Tribute by Diljit Dosanjh’s Met Gala

Diljit Dosanjh honored Maharaja Bhupinder Singh at the Met Gala 2025 by wearing an ensemble that combined Sikh royal tradition with modern fashion. His bespoke ivory sherwani, turban, and ornate jewelry-including a necklace and turban brooch modeled after the Maharaja’s collection-were styled to give off the royal charm of Patiala’s much-vaunted ruler. The outfit also included a ceremonial sword (kirpan) and a cape embroidered with the map of Punjab and the Mool Mantra, highlighting the importance of heritage and identity.

Operation Sindoor: How Security Forces & Agencies Executed 5-Phase Plan To Avenge Pahalgam? — EXPLAINED

Operation Sindoor: In a strong retaliation following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army early Wednesday launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ and carried out precision airstrikes in PoK and Pakistan and destroyed the terrorism infrastructure of JeM and LeT. In a meticulously planned assault, the Indian Armed Forces demonstrated exceptional coordination while conducting a targeted strike on Pakistani soil.

The operation displayed a well-defined strike ratio, with the Indian Army executing 70 per cent of the attacks and the Indian Air Force taking responsibility for the remaining 30 per cent.

In today’s episode of DNA, ZEE News analysed and explained how the coordinated efforts of the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force and security agencies avenged the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of at least 26 people, mostly tourists, and left several others injured.

According to ZEE News sources, the operation was carried out with absolute precision and coordinated planning without crossing the international border.

The Indian Air Force played an instrumental role, deploying Rafale fighter jets that launched deadly SCALP and HAMMER missiles — all without crossing the international border. Meanwhile, the Indian Army used indigenous suicide drones to target terrorist hideouts inside Pakistan. The entire operation was, however, not as easy as it seemed. It was planned and executed in five distinct phases:

5 Phases Of Operation Sindoor

Phase 1: Target Selection

Indian military satellites and the intelligence agency RAW gathered critical data from space and on-ground sources. Targets were chosen based on confirmed terrorist presence and training activity, ensuring minimal risk to civilian life.

Phase 2: Target Assessment

Within 15 days, detailed reconnaissance was conducted. RAW collected information on local residents, terrorist movements, and Pakistani military patrols in these areas. The structure and strength of key buildings, such as the Jaish-e-Mohammed headquarters in Bahawalpur, were analysed with precision, right down to the thickness of the concrete roofs.

Phase 3: Weapon Selection

Based on insights from the first two phases, weapons were carefully chosen. For instance, SCALP missiles were selected for their long-range and high-precision capabilities, ideal for destroying fortified structures. These missiles were instrumental in targeting the specific section of the Jaish headquarters where terrorists were located.

Phase 4: Tactical Execution

The military then mapped out the mode of assault for each target. Rafale jets were assigned to attack Bahawalpur, located 100 kilometres from the border. Suicide drones were used to obliterate camps like Sawai Nala and Bilal Camp in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Phase 5: Timing the Strike

The final phase involved selecting the most strategic time for the attack, post 1 AM, when enemy alertness was at its lowest and terrorists were likely asleep. This timing enabled maximum impact and minimised the possibility of retaliation.

Raid 2 box office collection day 7

Headlined by Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, Raid 2 was released in the cinemas on Thursday, May 1. Vaani Kapoor replaces Ileana D’Cruz as Ajay’s wife from Raid. The crime thriller, which is the direct sequel of the 2018 film, also features Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Amit Sial, Brijendra Kala, Yashpal Sharma, and Govind Namdev in key roles. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the critics, people are flocking to the theatres to watch Raid 2 and the film is going strong at the box office.

In the first six days, the crime thriller earned Rs 85.75 crore net in India, according to the entertaining tracking portal Sacnilk. As per the early estimates from the same platform, the film added Rs 4.50 crore to its earnings, taking the seven-day domestic collections to Rs 90.25 crore. Talking about the worldwide gross collections, Raid 2 had earned Rs 118 crore in the first six days and will most probably cross the Rs 125-crore mark globally in the first week, once the overseas figures come in.

Talking about the 2018 crime thriller Raid, the Ajay Devgn-starrer was made in Rs 40 crore and turned out to be a massive commercial success as it earned Rs 103 crore net in India and grossed Rs 154 crore gross worldwide. Even with the release of Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi-starrer time-loop romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf on May 9, Raid 2 will easily overtake its first part at the box office in the second weekend.

Like the original, the sequel draws inspiration from real-life income tax raids, showcasing how officers from the Income Tax Department, in collaboration with intelligence agencies, investigate and expose white-collar criminal activities. Raid 2 has been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also helmed the first part. Apart from the two crime thrillers, Raj Kumar Gupta has directed four other films namely Aamir (2008), No One Killed Jessica (2011), Ghanchakkar (2013), and India’s Most Wanted (2019).
