Adani Krishnapatnam Port handles 5.74 million tonnes of dry cargo in May

Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL) announced that it has handled 5.74 million metric tonnes (MMT) of dry cargo in May. It is the highest-ever monthly dry cargo volume handled by any port in India, according to the company.

“Last month, AKPL also achieved its highest-ever single-day road dispatch of 55,958 MT, further demonstrating excellence in cargo evacuation and logistics efficiency. This milestone highlights the port’s robust infrastructure and efficient operational processes designed to facilitate seamless cargo movement,” the company said in a statement.

Speaking on the occasion, AKPL management said, “It is the relentless efforts and dedication of all our team members and associate departments that helped us reach this milestone. These achievements reaffirm our commitment to being a premier gateway for trade and a key contributor to India’s economic growth.”
