Director Aanand L. Rai and actor Dhanush are contemplating legal action following the controversy around the AI-generated alternate ending of ‘Raanjhanaa’. The duo expressed concern over how platforms can tamper with a creator’s original work without consent. Rai called the move ‘dangerous’ and emphasized the need to protect filmmakers’ moral rights in the age of AI. He warned that if such reinterpretations go unchecked, they could set a disturbing precedent for Indian cinema.
