Bhubaneswar: An elderly woman was allegedly assaulted by a man in full public view near GGP Colony on Monday following a petty dispute over plucking of flowers. CCTV footage of the brutal assault went viral on social media.The altercation occurred when Parbati Pradhan (61) was plucking flowers in her neighbourhood. Amit Sahoo, a local flower vendor, reportedly confronted her, leading to a heated argument. Sahoo allegedly threatened her with physical harm if she did not resist plucking flowers.When Pradhan objected, Sahoo pushed her to the ground and kicked her multiple times as others watched. Mancheswar police have registered a case. “We have taken up the matter seriously. Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused,” a senior police officer said.
