Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend Somy Ali hits back at trolls for backing Faissal Khan in feud with Aamir Khan: ‘He’s of sound mind and absolutely stable’ | – Times of India
Salman Khan‘s ex-girlfriend and former actor-model Somy Ali took to Instagram to respond to backlash she has been receiving for supporting Faissal Khan over his family feud with his brother Aamir Khan. She clarified that extending help to someone in difficult times does not equate to hypocrisy, even if that person may have spoken ill of her in the past.“I have been getting a lot of heat for supporting Faissal. I want you all to know that just because someone speaks ill of you, it doesn’t mean you drop the ball on them during their hard times. There is no hypocrisy here,” she wrote in a long note.On her standSomy further explained that what Faissal had previously said about her was “none of her business,” but how she reacts to his struggles is her own decision. “I will support and stand by him or anyone else who is going through rough times,” she added.Clarifying her equation with Aamir Khan, Somy mentioned that she doesn’t know him well enough to comment. “We did one photoshoot and we were both very professional. Aside from exchanging pleasantries we didn’t say a word and just did the shoot and left.”
Backed by psychology backgroundSomy, who holds a degree in psychology, shared that she had worked in a psychiatric hospital during her internship. Referring to Faissal’s earlier claims, she said, “I watched Faissal’s interviews, conclusively he’s of sound mind and absolutely stable. I used to give schizophrenia medication to patients during my internship. That has dire consequences if a person is not suffering from schizophrenia. That doesn’t sit well with my ethics or my moral compass.”‘None of us are perfect’Ending her note, Somy shut down those accusing her of hypocrisy, stressing that her upbringing compels her to stand by people in distress. “As long as no one has physically harmed me and they are in trouble, and I know they are in the right I will speak up for them. People get hurt and say things which I did, but now he’s in trouble and I will support any of you if it came to that including Faissal. None of us are perfect and I know I am not. I simply have the fortitude to say something.”
