Six college students nabbed for pelting stones at trains | Chennai News – The Times of India


Chennai: In two separate incidents, six college students were arrested by the govt railway police (GRP) for hurling stones at EMU trains, targeting some students travelling in them at Korattur and Guindy, on Wednesday. In Guindy, a group of students pelted stones at other students travelling in the train on Wednesday for uploading a video reel on a social media platform and also in retaliation for them pelting stones at them reportedly on February 14 at Guindy railway station.
The GRP officials on Wednesday arrested four youths studying at the Government Arts College in Nandanam in connection with the incident. The GRP officials have recommended the railway officials cancel their monthly train passes. In another incident, the GRP Perambur officials on Thursday arrested two college students for pelting stones at students at Korattur railway station. All six were remanded in judicial custody.
