Ranchi: Four members of a family were nabbed for killing a woman Anwari Khatun after a marital row in Basila village within Nagri police station limits on June 3. Ranchi SP (Rural) Praveen Pushkar on Thursday said the persons arrested were Anwari’s husband Mehboob Ansari, his second wife Gazala Praveen and brother Sahboob Ansari. Two others, including Mehboob’s mother Mumtaaz and brother Maqsood are absconding. “Mahboob , Gazala and Anwari often had quarrels. Anwari had registered a case in this connection three years ago but subsequently agreed to live with him. On Tuesday night, Anwari and Mehboob had another arguement, after which the family members caught hold of her and slit her throat,” Pushkar said. A case was registered by Anwari’s father. TNN
