HYDERABAD

Citizens of twin cities, on Sunday, paid their tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of innocent tourists last week.

Soon after Sunday’s service, members of the CSI Garrison Wesley Church, Trimulgherry, held a silent candle-light rally outside the church. They expressed profound grief and offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. “We pray that their souls rest in eternal peace,” Rev. Dr. Prof. M. Rajeshwar Solomon Presbyter-in-Charge of the Church said, adding, “Terrorism knows no religion. It is a tragic reminder that acts of violence seek only to destroy what binds us together — our shared humanity.”

Meanwhile, under the aegis of Sai Srinivasam Apartment Senior Citizens Association, Old Alwal, president Ramesh Kumar and general secretary Devakonda Rajeshwar Rao, a large number of the gated community residents held a candle-light rally in protest against the brutal attack.

Senior citizens, children and women holding candles marched from the gated community to the Retreat Colony main entrance. Holding placards and raising slogans against the terror attack, the residents extended their heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

In TNGO’s Gachibowli Colony, a peace rally was organised by local residents. Residents walked around the colony holding candles.
