A chilling act of violence unfolded in Los Angeles’ Westwood area when a truck plowed into a crowd of demonstrators gathered in support of Iran’s nationwide anti-government uprising. The rally — part of a wave of anti-regime protests held across major U.S. cities — suddenly turned chaotic as a U-Haul vehicle accelerated into protesters, triggering screams, panic and scenes of people fleeing in all directions. According to U.S. media reports, at least two people were injured in the ramming. Video circulating online shows protesters surrounding the vehicle moments before impact, smashing its windows and confronting the driver, whose truck bore the slogan “NO SHAH, NO REGIME, NO MULLAH.” Seconds later, the vehicle surged forward into the crowd. In the aftermath, angry demonstrators surrounded the truck, clashing with police as officers rushed in to shield the driver from assault. Watch this video to know more.
