VS Hospitals in Chennai has launched “Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation” (TMS) therapy for the treatment of neurological conditions.
The non-invasive treatment uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain.
TMS is useful in the treatment of post-stroke weakness and speech disturbance, acute and chronic headaches, chronic neuropathic pain, Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
The therapy is particularly useful for patients who have not responded well to conventional treatments.
Muthu Subramanian, Executive Director, Prassanna, Group Chief Operating Officer, Sindhuja, Senior Consultant Neurologist, and S. Sundar, Senior Orthopedic Surgeon, Director, and Medical Director, VS Hospitals were present at the inauguration, according to a press release.
