Srisailam gears up for Ugadi Mahotsavam
Kurnool: Srisailam temple authorities will suspend Sparsha Darshanam from Thursday due to the heavy influx of devotees during Ugadi Mahotsavam. Only Alankara Darshanam will be available for the five-day festival.
On the first day, Bhringi Vahana Seva will take place, and Goddess Bhramaramba Devi will be adorned in Mahalakshmi Alankaram, followed by special rituals and Kalyanotsavam in the evening.
The Kalyanotsavam of Sri Swamy and Ammavaru will be conducted daily from March 27 to 31, offering devotees a unique spiritual experience. Temple authorities have made all necessary arrangements, ensuring the safety of devotees amid the hot weather conditions.

Pahalgam Attack: India Notifies Pakistan About Indus Waters Treaty Suspension, Cites These Reasons
India officially notified Pakistan about its decision to keep the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance with immediate effect. In a letter to Pakistan by Debashree Mukherjee, India’s Secretary of Water Resources, New Delhi said that Islamabad has breached the conditions of the treaty. The letter said that sustained cross-border terrorism by Pakistan targeting Jammu and Kashmir impedes India’s rights under the Indus Waters Treaty. Watch this video to know more.
Hyderabad: AIMIM candidate Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi on Friday won the election held to Telangana Legislative Council’s Hyderabad Local Authorities’ constituency, defeating his BJP rival N Goutham Rao.
The Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM and BJP contested for the seat for which voting held on April 23. The ruling Congress and main opposition BRS did not field candidates.
Of the 88 votes polled, the AIMIM candidate secured 63 votes, while the BJP got 25 votes, official sources said.
The total number of eligible voters in the election was 112 consisting 81 Corporators of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and 31 ex-officio members (MLAs, MPs, and MLCs).
